The next general meeting for the CSSS will be held on Friday, March 1st, 2024.

CSSS Council Representative Elections Nomination Begins!

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a great Reading Break thus far. I am pleased to announce that the Computing Science Student Society will now be accepting nominations for the 2024-2025 CSSS Council Representative. The nomination period begins right now and will end on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 11:59 PM with the voting period commencing shortly after.

If you would like to run for this position, here are the steps:

Reply to this email before the deadline
Send me your full name, SFU computing ID, and a speech

Here is the job description:

– Follow all Simon Fraser Student Society requirements for a Student Union Council Representative.

– Act to further the best interests of the CSSS as directed by the membership, within the Simon Fraser Student Society Council.

– Report on the activities of the Simon Fraser Student Society Council at General Meetings.

– Submit a written report for each meeting to the Director of Archives for public distribution and filing.

– Hold their position from May 1st until April 30th of the following year.

CSSS Pub Crawl February 16th

Hi Everyone,

The Faculty of Applied Science Departmental Student Unions are organizing a pub crawl this Friday, February 16th. We will spend roughly 45 minutes at each of the following locations starting with Parkside Brewery at 6:30 and moving to Rocky Point Spirits, Yellow Dog Brewing, and finally Twin Sales Brewing.

Everyone in attendance must fill out the following waiver in full (http://websurvey.sfu.ca/survey/462643846) and must be over the legal drinking age in the province of British Colombia (19).
