Hi CSSS Members! 


Just a reminder that the early bird ticket sales ends in two days! 


We'd also like to tell you that you have an opportunity to volunteer at the event itself as well! 


If you'd like to help on the day of the event, email csss-doc@sfu.ca


Some responsibilities of the volunteers include:

  • Registration (provide name tags, making groups if needed)
  • Walking participants to the rooms (kitchen, bathrooms_ 
  • General Traffic control 
  • Cleaning Up

Subject: [Mobify & CSSS Coding Contest] - Bridging Languages!
 

Hi CSSS Members! 


In collaboration with Mobify, we bring you "Bridging Languages, A Coding Contest!" On January 25th, we'd like to invite you to come to Mobify's Office to participate in this contest to win up to $5000 in scholarship prizes! 


[Theme]

The Theme for the coding contest is "Bridging Languages" you'll be using multiple languages to work through a set of problems, and/or using multiple languages to solve a single problem. 


[Groups]

We encourage you to work in groups, with a max of 3 participants. If you don't have a group, you may be randomly assigned a group on the day of the event.


[Details]

The location for the coding contest will be at Mobify's HQ, located at 725 Granville Street #420, Vancouver, BC V7Y 1C6. 


The event will run through 9 am - 5 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2020. There will be free meals provided, so if you do have and dietary restrictions please let us know. There may be a surprise speaker at the end of the event as well.

The early bird tickets will cost $5 until December 20th and regular priced tickets at $10 after. 


The max number of participants is 60, so tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis, so sign up quickly!
