If you wish to run for either position I recommend you bring a short speech about why you believe you would be well suited for the position(s). If you have any questions about the below positions please reach out to the Computing Science Student Society Executive team at csss-exec-current@sfu.ca.
First Year Representative
This position is from September 2022 - May 2023
The First Year Representative participates in the regular activities of the CSSS, as well as assisting other execs in their own responsibilities. The First Year Representative should attempt to be a touchstone for all of the other first years in the CSSS. If you're involved in the CSSS already, and want to represent your peers to the rest of Computing Science, this is the role for you.
The official responsibilities are:
– Share responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the CSSS and its resources.
- Be available to the other executives to assist them with tasks relating to the operations and activities of the CSSS.
- Write a continuity report at the end of their term for the next executive member who will fill this position.
Executive at Large:
This position is from September 2022 - December 2022
This is a great opportunity to get involved with the CSSS to help out and learn about the Society as well as the School. The Executive at Larges get to help out in the CSSS Common Room, with events and other random stuff they want to.
The official responsibilities are:

We know this time may not work for everyone. If you are unable to attend the meeting and wish to run for this position, please email us at
