Q: What is a General Meeting?
A: General Meetings are how the Computing Science Student Society passes information along to the student body and motion money to be spent on items and events. By attending you will get to have a better understanding how we operate and have
a say in how we run.

Do you want tasty sweets? Are you eager to sample desserts across town? Want to have a fun afternoon with your friends?
Join the CSSS for our 🍭 Summer of Sweets! On Friday, July 29, we will be heading downtown and crawling through three dessert places! We will meet at the SFU upper bus loop at 3:45 then journey downtown and try out treats from various stores. Spots are limited!

💻CSSS Git Workshop (session 2)

💻Interested in getting your feet wet in version control? Due to popular demand, the SFU Computing Science Student Society is excited to host our 2nd Beginner Git Workshop session this upcoming Wednesday
The workshop is catered towards students with minimal Git experience who are hoping to get a bit of hands on learning. Snacks will be included!

🤖ProjectX Machine Learning Competition
|
|
The CSSS is looking to send 3-6 undergraduates to ProjectX: the world’s largest undergraduate 🤖 machine learning research competition with competing teams from top
universities across the world.
The winning team from each of the three subtopic focuses will be awarded a cash prize of CAD 💰 $25,000, and all participants will be invited to attend the annual UofT AI Conference in January 2023 where the ProjectX award ceremony will
take place. Last year it had ~800 participants and our keynote speaker was Geoffrey Hinton.
