posted by Mitchell Gale on Aug. 5, 2022, 9:51 a.m.

Hi All,

Please see below a message from Dr. Angelica Lim, the Undergraduate Program Committee Chair regarding two additional Undergraduate Student Research Awards(USRAs)!

I hope many of you apply to take advantage of this great opportunity as undergraduate students!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear students,

Are you interested in undergraduate research? The School of CS is able to offer two extra VPR USRAs this year, which is an undergraduate student research award worth over $8500, to be held in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023. Students may take a maximum of 2 courses while holding a USRA.

To be eligible, you must have a GPA > 2.67, and will need to prepare a research proposal by contacting a professor to discuss potential research topics. It is recommended that students have received at least an A in the professor's course for consideration.

Please refer to the attached memo with the term of reference and the application form. Please submit the attached form and unofficial transcript tocspc1@sfu.ca by Aug. 19, 2022 (9AM) to apply for this special competition. Questions may be directed tocspc1@sfu.ca.

Future opportunities for USRAs will be announced in late December or January. Good luck!

Regards,

Dr. Angelica Lim
