🎲CSSS End of Semester Social: Board Games Night++ Karaoke & Comedy Edition

🥳Join us for the final board games night of this semester: Karaoke and Comedy Edition!
As the semester comes to a close, so do our bi-weekly board game nights. But do not fret: this time, there's a twist. In fact---there are many twists😱! Not only will there be more snacks, and dinner on us, but there will also be comedy routines🤣 from your
favorite executives. Sit back, relax, play some games🎲 with your friends, then enjoy the festivities while we put on a show for you. After the comedy routines, there will be karaoke🎤 until the end!
Warm up your vocal-chords, for this night will be full of laughter and songs!

🏆CSSS Advent of Code Event

We're running a fun, informal event surrounding this year's Advent of Code (https://adventofcode.com/)!
The winner will receive the coveted discord role @2022-Advent-of-Code-ULTIMATE-CHAMPION, and receive an official letter of congratulations from the CSSS Executive team!
Advent of Code is a digital advent calendar where the gift revealed every day is a small programming puzzle 💻🧩. Every day from Dec 1st to Dec 25th programming problems will be revealed which gradually increase in difficulty, and you need to write
a program on your computer to find the answer.
How to Participate

Scoring
The first person to complete each challenge gets N points, while the next person gets 1 fewer points. Get the most points to be crowned the 2022 CSSS Advent of Code ULTIMATE CHAMPION. Despite
the last challenge being revealed on Dec 25th, you will have up until the end of Dec 30th to complete all the challenges.

💻CS Peer Tutor Spring 2023 hiring
|
|
The FAS has opened Peer Tutoring Applications for the upcoming Spring semester. If you are able to spare 3-4 hours a week, and are knowledgeable in any of the courses CMPT 120, 125, 130, 135, 225, 295, 300, or MACM 101, then becoming a tutor may be for
you! By tutoring fellow students, not only can you strengthen your grasp of these courses, but you will also gain valuable experience in instructing, communication, and leadership.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences is currently seeking CMPT, ENSC, MSE, SEE, and SOSY students to join our Student Ambassador Team!
This exciting paid 💸 ($18/hr) opportunity is a way for students to develop skills, engage with the FAS community, and represent SFU externally.
Eligibility:
- Good Academic Standing (CGPA above 2.4 preferred)
- Effective communicator and comfortable speaking publicly
- Professional, dependable, enthusiastic
Commitment: 2-3 events per month (approx 10 hours per month)

The Faculty of Applied Sciences are looking for 6 instructor positions with our Pathways to STEAM program that partners with the Surrey School District (SD36) to engage at-risk youth in STEAM programming (science, technology, engineering, arts and design,
mathematics).
