On behalf of the FAS Co-op team, there is currently an opportunity for a professional development bursary program for the upcoming Spring semester which grants an $800 bursary. Applications deadlines are January 5th and 26th for each of the respective sessions.
If you are in enrolled in a course that has a WIL component that involves a community organization or business in the Spring 2023 semester (this includes co-op!), you are eligible to apply for the program. All questions can be directed to the program organizers at jei_wil@sfu.ca.

Removing Barriers to WIL: EDI Bursary & Professional Development Opportunity for Students
What: EDI bursary and professional development opportunity for students: Learn and Earn! Removing Barriers to Work-Integrated Learning
Where: Online
Deadline to apply: Thursday January 5th 2023 for Option 1 (Jan 9 β Feb 3, 2023) and Thursday January 26th 2023 for Option 2 (Jan 30 β Feb 24, 2023)
Audience: SFU graduate and undergraduate students (must be Canadian, Permanent Resident, or with refugee status), unfortunately, International students are not eligible

SFU undergraduate and graduate students from all Faculty areas are invited to join the Learn and Earn! Removing Barriers to WIL initiative.
Selected students will participate in a 4 week online EDI professional development opportunity, Effective Intercultural Communication for WIL (EICw), and upon completion will have funds deposited into their SFU student account. The $250 cost of the opportunity is free to all participants. Upon completion, $800 will be added to participantsβ SFU Student Account as a credit. Enrollment is limited - students are encouraged to apply early. Deadline to apply: January 5, 2023 for Option 1 and January 26, 2023 for Option 2.
