Frosh Week Chair:
This position is from March 2023 - September 2023
Had an amazing Frosh experience and want to make sure that new Froshees get the same experience? Or want to make an even better Frosh week than then one you had? This is your opportunity to represent Computing to new undergraduates, and create excitement for their time to come at SFU as an ambassador.
The official responsibilities are:
- Be responsible for overseeing the organization and planning of Frosh Week
- Chair a Frosh Week Committee and hold regular meetings to discuss and plan Frosh Week
- Hold their position from the time of their appointment until the conclusion of all Frosh Week events that were planned
- Seek funding for the event from outside parties
Tech Fair Chair:
This position is from March2023 - October 2023
As the Tech Fair Chair, you will be coordinating with student volunteers, SFU alumni, and reaching out to organizations in the community to participate in this week long career fair. See last year's tech fair page for more information:https://sfucsss.org/events/tech_fair/2022/main
The official responsibilities are:
- Coordinate with SFU to book space for event and organize venue setup
- Contact companies to attend
- Arrange payment by companies
- Facilitate other related workshops during the week
- manage volunteers
- Update tech fair web page
