CSSS Hacktime June 13 & 16

posted by Brendan Chan on June 7, 2017, 8:02 p.m.

Hi all,

Hacktime has been on involuntary hiatus this week due to convocation taking up our usual room.

We will continue sessions from now on every Tuesday and every other Friday. Exact times are subject to room availability but I'll prioritize afternoons and early evenings.

Tuesday June 13th 4:30pm - 7:30pm TASC 9204w
Friday June 16th 3:30pm - 6:30pm TASC 9204w

What is Hacktime you ask? Hacktime is an initiative started by the CSSS a few years ago. Giving students like you (yes you) an opportunity to meet with other students who are passionate about working on projects and using new technology has been the main goal of Hacktime.

Come to our session on Tuesday and listen to me talk about ways to draw inspiration for new projects and how to collaborate with others.

Merci beaucoup,

Brendan

Hey Everyone,

Thank you for all your survey responses.
Hacktime will be having two sessions next week.

Tuesday, May 30th, TASC 9204e
4:30pm - 7:00pm

Friday, June 2nd, TASC 9204e
3:00pm - 6:00pm

The Tuesday session will be similar to what Hacktime has been in the past. If you have any requests for topics you want covered you can email me and I will prepare a short presentation. Otherwise this will be a time for you to meet other students and organize yourselves to do projects.

The Friday session will be a workshop style environment. We will have a lesson prepared and a theme for everyone to explore and work on.

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
