We are planning a Semesterly End of Semester Social for Celebrating the End of the Semester (SEoSfSCtEotS for short) on August 4th. Similar to boardgames, except (propably higher quality food and) not only boardgames. Open to email suggestions on what you want to happen on that day (BBQ, lan party, mario kart?, ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

Hope to see you there!

CSSS: Frosh 2017 Leader Call Out

posted by David Miiller on July 9, 2017, 5:44 p.m.

Hello CSSS,

We're now less than two months away from our biggest event of the year, Frosh Week!
That means it's time to start looking for Frosh Leaders.

As a Frosh Leader, you'd help a new group of computing students feel welcome at SFU, and to assist our organizing committee with our daily events.

For those who attended their Frosh, this is a great opportunity to relive those memories and to give back. For those who never attended their Frosh, then maybe it's your chance to see what all the legends are about.

The benefits of leading:
-Fun events with awesome people
-Leadership experience
-Provide inspiration to froshees and help the next generation
-Free food, t-shirts, and gifts
and quite a bit more!

To sign up as a Frosh Leader, fill out the survey here:

HackTime Schedule

posted by Brendan Chan on June 26, 2017, 8:36 p.m.

Hi all,

Due to lack of available personnel, Hacktime for tomorrow is cancelled. Friday will still happen though, and I'll have something (sort of) interesting to chew on for you guys.

Friday, June 30th, 2017
3:30pm - 5:30pm
TASC 9204

As you can probably tell, we need more people to help organize hacktime. If you are interested in helping out, send me an email.

Thanks,

Brendan
