Frosh Week 2018 Leaders Wanted

posted by Paymon Jalali on July 25, 2018, 12:24 p.m.

Hi Folks,

We're now almost one month away from our biggest event of the year - Frosh Week! That means it's time to start looking for Frosh Leaders, and we'd love to have you on board!

As a Frosh Leader, you'd help a new group of computing students feel welcome at SFU, and to assist our organizing committee with our daily events.

For those who attended their Frosh, this is a great opportunity to relive those memories and to give back. For those who never attended their Frosh, then maybe it's your chance to see what all the legends are about.

Some benefits of being a Frosh Leader:
  • Fun events with awesome people
  • Leadership experience
  • Provide inspiration to froshees and help the next generation
  • Free food, t-shirts, and gifts
  • Quite a bit more!
To sign up as a Frosh Leader, fill out the survey here.

For more information about the Computing Science Student Society, Frosh Week, and to see our event schedule, visit our Frosh Week website.

Thank you for reading, and see you during Frosh Week!

Regards,
Paymon Jalali

posted by Winfield Chen on July 24, 2018, 2:42 a.m.

Hey CSSS Members, the following is a message about an opportunity from our Council Representative! *Advocacy Survey* Just three easy yes or no questions- The purpose for the survey is to ensure students are aware of the advocacy directions of the SFSS; student engagement and endorsement of SFSS initiatives. By getting students to fill out these surveys we can help eliminate student loan interest, establish completion grants and make affordable student housing. Also by filling this survey out, every undergraduate student has a chance to win a $500 Amazon gift card. The survey link is now live: bit.ly/sfssadvocacy2018 Thanks for taking the time!
