Yes the time is approaching, the semester Computing Science branded clothing sale. But before the sale can begin we need to refill our stock. And to make sure we don't order too much or not enough we need your help.

If you think you might be interested in purchasing a CS branded hoodie, t-shirt, and/or crewneck sweater pleasefill out this survey. It'll only take a few minutes and will help us out a lot. Plus there is a nice surprise at the end.

Hi Everyone,

The following is from Team Guardian, SFU's very own drone club.

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to the third week of the semester. My name is Stanislav Svichkar and I am the President of SFU’s drone club, Team Guardian. Team Guardian is a multi-disciplinary design team that is always looking for curious and passionate students to join us in learning and trying new things through the drone industry.  I would like to invite you all to join my team and I in our info sessions happening this week.

These info sessions will be our opportunity to introduce you to our club and show the work we put in developing our drones and their corresponding technology. As a design time, we work on solving real-world problems using drones, allowing opportunities for you to develop and apply electronics, mechanical and software skills.

We have a mixture of both technical and non-technical work. Our technical work is split across our various sub teams: Autopilot and Machine Vision, that deal with the majority of our software including programs for autonomous flight and image processing. Electrical which covers circuit design and power management, and Mechanical which deals with the physical components of the drones including modeling and construction. Our non-technical work is covered by our Business team which deals with marketing, design as well as school and industry relations.
