Hello CSSS members!

Our next Board Games Night will be happening on March 13th 2020.

The details of the event are below:

Date: Friday, March 13th, 2020
Location: MBC 2294 and MBC 2296
Time: 5pm to 11pm
 
As always, this event is open to everyone, so bring your friends! 

Food will be provided so come early to get some! If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know so we can plan for food accordingly.

[Event] - Hockey Hack Day in Canada

[Event Details]
HOCKEY HACK DAY IN CANADA
March 27 & 28, 2020
Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax

[Additional Details] 
This year’s event is done in partnership with Stathletes to bring exclusive hockey data to students across the country.  Hockey Hack Day in Canada creates an avenue for students to gain the proper knowledge and experience to help them transition into the growing industry of sports analytics.  We aim to give participants the vision, ability, and opportunity to improve their skills with data and analytics in sports.

All skill levels are welcome, no prior coding experience necessary.  Best of all it’s FREE!

Learn to code through the great game of hockey! Connect with leaders from the industry and present your work to NHL teams.  Cash prizes and prizes from Electronic Arts will be awarded for the best presentations.

CASH PRIZES:
Top Female Presenter - $125
First Place Team - $400
Second Place Team - $300
Third Place Team - $200

Applications are open and are being accepted on a rolling basis.  Applications will be evaluated on one’s passion to learn and desire to participate.
