The End of Semester Social is happening today! Come to Club Ilia at 5:00pm to celebrate the end of the semester. The details about the End of Semester Social and potential Board Games Night are below.

CS Hoodie Sale

Hi Everyone, 


We finally got inventory so we're starting the hoodie sale. I know its late af in the semester but better late than never, right?  


During the sale we'll also be taking orders for embroidered hoodies. Speaking of embroidered hoodies, we've got an all new Stealth Edition embroiderd hoodie (see attached photo). Does it cost more? I hear you ask. NO!! It's the same price as a normal embroidered hoodie. 


Hey, psst! We've also got new embroidered toques!!!! No! NOT A BEANIE! A toque. Grab a sneak peek of it in the attached photo. 


Since it is so close the end of the semester I know not everyone one will be able to come by in person, so if you want to place an order for an embroidered hoodie send it via email (details below).


Prices

Printed Hoodies: $40

Crewneck: $30

T-Shirts: $15

Embroiderd Hoodie: $60

Embroiderd toques: $10 or $5 w/ purchase of embroidered hoodie.

Sale End : Dec 4th, 2019 [Hard cutoff for embroidered hoodie orders, no exceptions]

ASB Atrium in front of the CSIL door

CSSS Common Room ASB 9208, the door next to the CSIL door


Obvisouly nobody will be on campus over the weekend. 


Times

There should be a table setup between 12 PM - 3 PM (times may vary a little some days, but not too much)

If you don't see a table, pop into the CSSS common and ask for an exec.

  • Include a phone number and a time when you can be reached. Reason: the embroidered hoodies require a prepayment and we'll take card information over the phone. If you really don't want to give me a phone number, we can arrange something else.

[Mobify & CSSS Coding Contest] - Bridging Languages!

Hi CSSS Members! 


In collaboration with Mobify, we bring you "Bridging Languages, A Coding Contest!" On January 25th, we'd like to invite you to come to Mobify's Office to participate in this contest to win up to $5000 in scholarship prizes! 


[Theme]

The Theme for the coding contest is "Bridging Languages" you'll be using multiple languages to work through a set of problems, and/or using multiple languages to solve a single problem. 


[Groups]

We encourage you to work in groups, with a max of 3 participants. If you don't have a group, you may be randomly assigned a group on the day of the event.


[Details]

The location for the coding contest will be at Mobify's HQ, located at 725 Granville Street #420, Vancouver, BC V7Y 1C6. 


The event will run through 9 am - 5 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2020. There will be free meals provided, so if you do have and dietary restrictions please let us know. There may be a surprise speaker at the end of the event as well.

The early bird tickets will cost $5 until December 20th and regular priced tickets at $10 after.

On November 29th the CSSS will be hosting an End of Semester Social at Club Ilia at 5pm! Come join us to relax before the final stretch of final exams.


The CSSS will also take $10 off your total food purchases while at Club Ilia. There will also be board games night happening in TASC 9204 if there is enough interest.

Our next Board Games Night will be happening on November 22nd, 2019.

As always, this event is open to everyone, so bring your friends!
