Voting is restricted to Members only. 

For those who are wishing to participate in person, please bring proof of vaccination.We will only be allowing those who are double vaccinated and have valid proof of vaccination to enter the meeting room.

Here we hope to inform our students of exciting opportunities and events, while cutting down on the sheer amount of emails sent for each individual event.

CSSS General Meeting 


Q: What is a General Meeting? 
A: General Meetings are how the Computing Science Student Society passes information along to the student body and motion money to be spent on items and events. By attending you will get to have a better understanding how we operate and have a say in how we run.

SFU Cybersecurity Community (SFUC2)

 Intersted in cyber security? SFUC2 is an educational group focused on theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity initiated by students in Professional Computer Science program. The group will help raise awareness on Cybersecurity and also share knowledge in weekly meetups (Starting Monday 25th October).

We are open to everyone with interest in Computer Security and want to work on their ethical hacking skills. Basic programming/scripting knowledge and familiarity with Linux will really help but isn't mandatory! Please join the discord server for any announcements/updates! We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in our meetings!

SFU Google Developer Club

Interested in developing apps? We're excited to announce that we’ll be kicking off Android Study Jams for our chapter. This is an event series for people who are new to programming and interested in developing Android apps with the support of a study group. Starting on October 14, at TASC 2 7201 , we will be meeting every Thursday for 5 weeks and working through a curriculum that is offered by Google on Android development.

You’ll learn the basics of programming and how to apply those skills to building basic Android apps in the Kotlin programming languageAll you need to bring is your laptop computer and headphones. Your computer should meet the system requirements or install Android Studio ahead of time, if that’s your preference.Having an Android device is optional, but if you do have one, bring that with a USB cable so you can learn to run your apps on your device.

CSSS Board Games Night 

Can't get enough of playing Board Games with your friends? Fear not! On Friday, October 22nd, at 6.00pm*, join the CSSS in yet another Board Games Night to conclude your long week. *This event is set to start at 6pm, but may begin earlier or later than that time depending on when the CSSS General Meeting concludes.
